On Monday evening I had my first session post-maternity leave. It was the perfect one to start off the year! Andrea and Jamie brought their toddler and baby out to Livermore to meet up with me for this session. Andrea contacted me about a month ago hoping to get some family photos done, including some of the whole family and some focused on her new baby boy. We settled on Robertson Park for her springtime family photos. This area, technically not part of the park, but just off the trail behind it, is one of my favorite undiscovered gems in Livermore. Every spring, California golden poppies show up in abundance, and the golden hour sunset is beautiful this time of year.
We had a lot of fun taking these photos! One of my favorite things about family photo sessions is getting to interact with the kids. There were poppies everywhere, and lots of fun rocks and trees to look at. As you’ll see in some of the photos below, this little girl LOVES nature! I’m so glad we were able to get some photos of her exploring and doing what she loves. Of course we also had to get some photos of baby! 🙂 He was so relaxed and happy to just sit there and stare into the camera. I think we got some good ones of him too!
Andrea and Jamie, thank you for trusting me with your family photos! I hope you love how they turned out. Your family is beautiful, and you guys are a pleasure to photograph! 🙂
