Winter Wedding at the Palm Event Center

On February 24, Stephanie and Romeo finally married each other after years of dating long distance. They held their beautiful winter ceremony at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Pleasanton, CA. I have had the pleasure of photographing many Catholic weddings, and I love the significance of each element of the service. This wedding was no different, from the verses they chose and the songs that were sung.

After the ceremony, we drove 10 minutes down the road to the Palm Event Center where the festivities continued. The Palm Event Center has some lovely backdrops for group photos, as well as those intimate photos of the newlyweds!

During the reception, Steph and Romeo had the fun entrance, first dances, and as a special surprise, Stomper showed up for the party! (For those among us who are Giants fans like myself…he’s the A’s mascot ;))

Getting Ready

I spent the getting ready time with the groom and groomsmen. They buttoned up and then we took some fun group photos in the courtyard at St. Augustine Catholic Church, where they later exchanged vows.

Ceremony Time

St. Augustine has a beautiful interior…lots of white to bounce light off of! I don’t think there was a bad seat anywhere; it has such a great setup to the room.

Palm Event Center Winter Wedding Reception

After the church ceremony, we drove over to the Palm Event Center for their winter wedding reception. Of course we had to take some photos outside before the party started…

What a beautiful couple!

Inside the reception space, Romeo and Steph chose to dim the lighting and create a warm, candle-lit atmosphere for their guests.
