In January, we bought an East Bay park pass. The hope is to get outside more this year. Alex and I are fairly active people. I run sometimes, we bike together other times, and we enjoy a good walk around what we’ve affectionately titled “The Livermore Arboretum” (hint: it’s the Arroyo Mocho trail). Hiking is a whole different sort of beast though. I get huffy and puffy just going up a flight stairs too fast, something about the climbing motion doesn’t work too well for me at all! I’m hoping to change that this year though, starting with the East Bay parks. There are some beautiful views out there, right in our backyard!
Little Yosemite Hike
The first hike of the year award went to Little Yosemite, which is part of the Sunol Wilderness Regional Preserve. I haven’t gotten to go to Big Yosemite yet this year (fingers crossed for this weekend!), but I have heard so much about this little hidden gem tucked away in Sunol that I had to see it for myself. Seems that it’s not much of a “hidden” gem anymore. I guess it’s gotten quite popular over the last few years. There were a lot people out there! But nevertheless, we had a fun time together and got some good photos!
It seems like now is the best time to go! All the rain lately makes for some beautiful green landscapes as opposed to the brown we have most of the rest of the year. (Though to be honest I really love the brown too…)

Great views! Thanks for sharing!
I need to be there right with y’all! Stairs get me huffing and puffing too. Time for a change! Love the lighting there at the park. Keep it up!!
Love this! And love that you guys are out having fun together! 🙂
