Travis and Kimberly’s Napa Valley summer wedding – the perfect day to begin a marriage! They exchanged vows in front of their families and some friends at an intimate, private residence venue. Their chosen green and yellow colors went really well with the surrounding scenery…couldn’t have planned it better!
As a photographer, this Napa Valley venue is everything I hope for when I show up to shoot a wedding. White and cream colored walls, duvets, side tables, couches, and curtains! Natural, bright light from both sides of the room! And TONS of space for the girls to spread out while getting ready. Finally, so many outdoor nooks to get those perfect “just married” photos, and to top it off, surrounded by vineyards and barns. Basically a dream location.
As a friend, I’m thrilled that Kimberly and Travis’s wedding day turned out so beautifully. Their families traveled from all over to celebrate their union, and the intimate size made it such a memorable day. Seeing the joyful atmosphere and everyone’s love for the newlyweds made my heart so happy. 🙂 It’s hard to choose a favorite part of the day (and as you’ll see, I clearly had a hard time choosing favorite photos).
I loved seeing Kimberly getting ready with her bridesmaids and hugging her dad after the ceremony. I loved watching Travis’s face light up during the vows and ring exchange. I loved ALL of the speeches, and hearing how friendships and family have shaped who Kimberly and Travis are now and who they will become together in marriage. I loved the anniversary dance, seeing multiple couples who have been married for over three decades – what a testament to long-lasting love and perseverance! I wholeheartedly agree with Kimberly when she said afterwards, “It was everything I hoped it would be.”
