I love ALL of the photos from this beautiful Mt Diablo engagement photo shoot. We had such a fun time during this engagement session, and it really shows in these photos. Brian and Cheryl love the Mt Diablo area and chose it as the location for their engagement session…I had never been, so it was a fun new experience for me! We decided to meet up at Rock City just before sunset time for the pretty lighting. (I explored a bit earlier by myself before they got there. Then I realized I should probably stop because I got turned around and couldn’t figure out the right trail to get back! Next time I’ll take a map and probably a hiking buddy…) Some of the trails reminded me a lot of Joshua Tree with the huge boulders and rock “caves”. Other parts were more leaf-y and tree-filled, which was also nice for getting that glowy look. I’m going to have to go back and hike around a bit sometime!
Brian + Cheryl
These two met at college in the Midwest, and then they moved out here to the Bay Area for work. I loved getting to talk with them about their camping trips together (they camped on Mt Diablo during that crazy wind/fire weekend, and they even stayed all night until the rangers kicked everyone out at 6am!), what they were doing for the holidays, and of course their wedding day plans. I’m looking forward to another beautiful Ravenswood wedding in February. 🙂 From what I noticed in the limited time we spent together, Brian and Cheryl really seem to fit well with each other. Cheryl has the best laugh, and I love the way that Brian looks at her in these photos.
Brian and Cheryl, thank you for allowing me to take your Mt Diablo engagement photos. And of course for providing drinks and chairs! You guys are so prepared! I’m looking forward to seeing you both again in February and being able to capture your wedding day!
