Jonathan and Amber finally had the wedding of their dreams! I was looking back through our messages from 2019 and 2020…we did their engagement session on January 4, 2020. The wedding was planned for May. In April, they postponed to September…then May 2021. We all know how those two years went! Finally at the end of 2021, with light at the end of the tunnel, the wedding day was set for May 7, 2022! While Jonathan and Amber were already legally married (in a surprise ceremony, set up by their family in their new backyard!), this was a long-awaited day of celebration with friends and family. I’m so glad that I was still able to be a part of capturing the memories; it was a beautiful day!
May 2022 marks ten years of being together as a couple. Jonathan and Amber actually met because of scouting, so it was special that they held their wedding ceremony and reception at the scouting reservation. The reception room was covered in special touches – engagement photos, beautiful floral displays, desserts made by family friends, and so much more. The ceremony site was perfect – overlooking the lake, just the right size for the intimate gathering of family and close friends. I felt a few sprinkles right before Amber walked down the aisle, but the clouds blew away just in time for the ceremony to begin!
Jonathan and Amber, I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks! I’m so excited about the lake photos, and of course the ceremony photos are always some of my favorites. Have fun looking through and reminiscing about your wedding day as you return home from your honeymoon!

I love hearing speeches, and these were no exception! There is clearly a lot of love and admiration for each other in this newly joined family…it was so fun hearing about how Jonathan and Amber started dating and who they are together today.
Love that their cake had two flavors – one for each tier!
