Cassidy and Kyle contacted me about getting some Holdener Park engagement photos done because Holdener Park has a very special meaning for them: they got engaged at a bench on the trails there! Of course we had to get some photos at the bench! 🙂
We both arrived a little early to Holdener – me to scope out the area, them to make sure they were on time. Much appreciated, guys! Since we were there, we started a little early. I loved hearing their story as we walked around the park. These two met during undergrad, and are now doing the semi-long distance dating thing for a bit. Their big wedding day will be in 2023. On the morning of their engagement, Cassidy got a bit suspicious and did some snooping around. She spent the picnic breakfast wondering when Kyle was going to FINALLY ask! Of course, that suspicion doesn’t take away from the thrill of a ring on your finger and the promise of a lifetime together. Obviously she said yes. 🙂
One of the great things about Holdener is the really pretty sunsets. It’s difficult to do photos earlier in the evening since the sun is so bright and there’s nothing obstructing its beams, but the warm glow during sunset helps to make up for it. I found myself LOVING the black and white look as I edited some sneak peeks for this session. Harsh sunlight tends to make for some really great contrast, which is perfect for B&W. We took photos in many areas of the park while we walked and waited for the sun to go down over their bench, and Cassidy wore HEELS! Give her some applause! 😉
Cassidy and Kyle, thanks for a fun evening of photos! I hope you enjoy looking over these previews – they show so much of your love for each other!
