My last photographed wedding of 2018… Sarah and Eric chose a winter wedding in December at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore. As a Livermore wedding photographer, I especially love shooting wedding days in town close to home. Sarah and Eric married on the patio of the reception plaza overlooking the golf course during sunset. I had never been out there before, so I took a drive a week ahead of time and looked around. The hills were green, and the skies were clear! The day of the wedding was the same…except for the wedding details being set up for the celebration! I loved all of the small touches that went into the day. Sarah’s mom lovingly created all of the flower arrangements and table decorations for the day. I loved looking at Sarah’s bouquet and noticing all of the pins in it.
I was so excited when Sarah’s mom reached out to me to shoot the wedding because Sarah ALSO went to UC Davis. I love fun connections like that! Sarah and Eric met at church during a young adult event night. They were the only two that showed up, and it turned into their accidental first date! Since they enjoyed the meetup so much, they kept talking and went on another date…and soon they were engaged! Sarah’s engagement ring is so unique – it has a sapphire in it – so be sure to look for it in the detail shots below.
Enjoy these photos from this beautiful wedding day at Poppy Ridge. I hope this post inspires you in your wedding planning and shows just how perfect a DIY wedding can be! Sarah and Eric, thank you for the opportunity to capture your wedding day!
